Thank you for choosing Collective Crate Box for your move and organising needs. This document outlines the terms and conditions.

1. Rental Terms

  • The rental period ("Rental Term") begins when you receive the crates and ends on the agreed collection date.
  • You are responsible for all hired goods from the moment of delivery.
  • You are liable for any loss or damage to crates or dollies during the hire period.
  • Extended bookings must be requested in writing via email and approved by Collective Home Clean at least 48 hours before the end of the rental period.
  • Approval is subject to availability and additional charges.
  • Deliveries or collections outside our standard area will incur additional freight charges (quoted on booking).
  • Crates must be returned clean and in good condition (excluding normal wear and tear). Extra fees will apply for dirt, damage, or missing items. See 3. Additional fees.
  • Collective Home Clean is not liable for any damage to your goods during transit or from incorrect use or for any damage resulting from incorrect packing, handling, or loading by the Customer.

2. Customer Obligations

  • Keep crates, dollies and hand dollies safe, dry, and protected from damage or weather.
  • Do not overload, misuse, apply labels, or expose crates to harmful substances.
  • Stack 60L and 68L crates no more than 3 high, with a maximum packed weight of 150kg.
  • All items are clean, stacked, dry, accessible and ready for collection at the agreed time and location.
  • 48 hours notice is required for any Rental Term extensions.

3. Additional Fees

  • Late return: $80
  • If access is blocked or a return trip is needed, an $80 rebooking fee will apply.
  • A $80 fee applies if no one is available at the scheduled pickup or goods are not ready.
  • Loss, damage, or replacement of crates: $30 per crate, charged to the card used at booking
  • Crate cleaning fee $5 per crate if dirty – inspected on pick up.
  • Damaged or unreturned hand cart: $160 – Dollies  $80
  • You will be notified before any extra charges are applied.
  • All prices are in NZD and include GST.
  • If payment fails, the balance must be cleared within 5 working days.

4. Bookings

  • Phone and email bookings accepted (subject to availability, delivery eligibility. and payment).
  • If your booking can't be fulfilled, we'll contact you and issue a full refund within 48 hours.

5. Payment

  • Full payment is required to confirm your booking.
  • Direct Debit is our preferred method of payment.
  • PayPal accepted. Please note that PayPal transactions incur a 3.4% fee, which is automatically deducted from the total amount received by us.
  • Cash is only accepted upon delivery with prior approval. The correct amount is only accepted.

6. Delivery & Collection

  • Someone must be present for delivery and pickup (unless agreed prior).
  • Crates should be inspected on arrival to ensure they meet your needs.
  • Non-accessible drop-offs / pick ups (e.g. stairs, no parking, long carrying distances) will incur a non delivery fee of $80
  • Missed deliveries or collections incur a $80 redelivery fee.
  • All goods must be ready for collection, clean, and protected from rain or weather.

7. Service Area

Delivery & Collection Policy

  • Free delivery and collection within a 40 km radius of Central Hamilton for bookings of more than 20 crates
  • For minimum hire bookings (4 crates) and up to 19 crates – delivery is not available. These must be picked up and returned by the customer.
  • If you're outside this zone, you'll need to collect and return the crates yourself.
  • Special delivery arrangements can be made outside the area — quoted at booking (POA).

8. Cancellation

  • Cancel more than 48 hours before delivery for a full refund.
  • Cancel within 24 hours and an $80 fee applies.
  • No-shows or failure to collect on the agreed date 100% non-refundable.
  • If crates are already dispatched or delivered, the full hire fee applies.
