Thank you for choosing Collective Home Clean for your decluttering and organising needs. This document outlines the terms and conditions under which we will provide our professional services.

1. Confidentiality & Privacy

  • At Collective Home Clean, we respect and prioritise the privacy of our clients. We are fully committed to complying with New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 and ensuring that any personal information provided is handled with the utmost care and in accordance with the law. Any data collected is used solely for the purpose of delivering our services and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
  • Collective Home Clean offers a discreet, professional service. Photographs may be taken before, during, and after sessions—but will only be used for promotional purposes with your written consent.
  • Any reference to you or your situation will remain anonymous. Testimonials or case studies are only shared with client approval and are depersonalised where applicable.

2. Disclaimer

Collective Home Clean provides professional advice and guidance during the decluttering, styling and organising to 'move or stay' process. However:

  • Final decisions on what to keep or discard rest solely with the client.
  • We accept no liability for actions taken by the client during or after our engagement.
  • We are not qualified to appraise or value items of potential rarity or worth; we recommend seeking a professional valuer for such items.
  • While we handle belongings with care, we are not liable for any accidental loss or damage.
  • To the extent permitted by law Collective Home Clean will not be liable for any loss of profits or revenue or any form of consequential loss arising out of or in connection with this agreement.  In all other circumstances including Consumer Law the liability of Collective Home Clean is limited to the fees received by Collective Home Clean from the client pursuant to this agreement.

3. Scope of Work

Access

  • If access to your premises is unsafe or obstructed, we reserve the right to charge for lost time at the rate of $80 plus GST per hour and for additional costs incurred.

Cleaning Services

  • We do not offer deep cleaning, rubbish removal, moving, or heavy lifting services.
  • Cleaning, large or heavy item removals may require third-party assistance (e.g., movers or handymen), which we are happy to recommend and book in on your behalf using trusted providers. While we take care to recommend reliable and professional services, Collective Home Clean is not responsible or liable for the actions, performance, or service quality or of any third-party company. Any third-party invoices are paid directly by you to the third-party.

Third-Party Moving Services or Trade Services

  • Collective Home Clean is not a licensed moving company. As part of our comprehensive service offering, we may coordinate and book third-party moving and or trade services on your behalf using trusted providers. While we take care to recommend reliable and professional services, Collective Home Clean is not responsible or liable for the actions, performance, or service quality of any third-party company. Any third-party invoices are paid directly by you to the third-party.

Indemnity

  • You agree to fully and completely indemnify Collective Home Clean and hold Collective Home Clean harmless from all liabilities, debts, costs, losses, damages and legal costs, in relation to any services provided by third-parties to you.

Scope of Work and Variations

  • The services outlined in this agreement are based on the scope of work as initially discussed and agreed upon. If the project requirements change or the scope expands beyond what was originally quoted, a revised quote will be provided. Any additional work will only proceed once the updated quote has been reviewed and approved by the client.

4. Removal of Items

All decisions to dispose of, relocate, or donate items remain the client's responsibility. Collective Home Clean does not remove items from the property unless agreed in advance. Removal of items will incur service fees that will be advised to you prior to removal for your acceptance.

5. Breaks During Sessions

Decluttering can be both physically and emotionally demanding. Clients are encouraged to take breaks as needed throughout the session. For sessions exceeding four (4) hours, a scheduled 30-minute break will be included to ensure the wellbeing and productivity of all involved.

6. Insurance

Clients are responsible for ensuring that their home and belongings are adequately insured during any work, including handling, storage, and transportation. Collective Home Clean is not liable for issues arising from insufficient cover, from lack of cover or from insurance excesses.

7. Payment Terms

  • Deposit – 50% payable within 48 hours of accepting the quote to confirm your booking.
  • Balance: The remaining 50 % is due on completion of the service.

Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, cash or PayPal  – The total invoice will be inclusive of applicable PayPal processing fees of 3.4 %, which are deducted from the payment we receive.

8. Late Payment Fees

Late payments will incur:

  • 2.5% + GST penalty per invoice, applied 7 days after the due date.
  • Collection costs, including legal or solicitor's fees, may be added if recovery is required.

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected] at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled service.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee 50% of the booked service fee.
  • Failure to provide notice or missed appointments may be charged in full.
  • Either party may cancel the agreement due to unforeseen circumstances.
